Coalition Member John Murphy, the International Representative of the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Sprinkler Fitters, teamed up with Lisa Dix the New York Director of the Building Decarbonization Coalition to write an Op-Ed which is now featured on AM – NY. This piece is in reaction to the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Law).

The pair state, “If we are to succeed in achieving the aggressive climate emissions reductions and the equity mandates under the law, swift and urgent action will be required every year by the legislature and by every state agency… as we transition away from fossil fuels across the economy we must do so equitably, with investments and benefits flowing directly into communities disproportionately impacted by climate change and ensure workers are uplifted by the clean energy economy.”
